Crude Oil Prices April 29, 2025: Brent & WTI Rates
Crude oil prices, on April 29, 2025, fell about 2% to a two-week low as investors braced for OPEC+ to boost output and worried US President Donald Trump’s tariffs would hit the global economy and slow demand for the fuel.
Brent crude oil price, on April 29, closed at roughly $64.25 per barrel compared with $65.86 recorded on April 28. At the same time, WTI crude oil price closed at approximately $60.42 per barrel compared with $62.05 recorded on April 28.
According to the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the basket price of thirteen crude oil blends stood at $66.52 per barrel on April 29, compared to $68.16 a barrel recorded on April 28.
The OPEC Reference Basket of Crudes (ORB) consists of the following: Saharan Blend (Algeria), Djeno (Congo), Zafiro (Equatorial Guinea), Rabi Light (Gabon), Iran Heavy (Iran), Basrah Medium (Iraq), Kuwait Export (Kuwait), Es Sider (Libya), Bonny Light (Nigeria), Arab Light (Saudi Arabia), Murban (UAE) and Merey (Venezuela).
